As you may know, my sister has visited me in New York quite a few times over the past four years. I, however, did not get a chance to visit her in the great midwest until this past weekend. She rode up to Chicago to pick me up, and the two of us met up with our dad, who was making a quick stop in Chicago during a business trip. After a great day in the city with food and fun, we made the trip to my sister’s school in Notre Dame… which turned out to be completely different from my campus (if you can call it one) in downtown Manhattan. Here’s a video of what my weekend was like!
Without further ado, Here’s a video of what my weekend was like!
It’s the first day of my last semester as an undergrad today… but I just can’t seem to break out of winter break mode! On that note, I wanted to share the fun times I had in Korea over the winter.
Except for my family’s little hiatus in Busan, I spent most of my break in Seoul. I edited the footage in three parts – and here they are!
Last Saturday, I went apple picking for the first time since sophomore year of high school! It was really nice to get away from the city and enjoy some nature, and now I have at least a week’s worth of golden delicious apples sitting in my fridge 🙂
We visited Ochs Orchard in Warwick, NY – and raided the store there, trying out their freshly made apple cider, apple cider donuts, and homemade ice cream (loved the apple pie flavor). I also walked away with some apple chips and apple butter. So. much. apple.
Afterwards, we went hiking in the Appalachian Trail. The crackling leaves and the fresh air were so much better than treading away at my gym on 40th street, and luckily we didn’t get lost!
